YARAT Contemporary Art Space has hosted Portfolio Review Day, an event dedicated to discovering and introducing emerging Azerbaijani talent to wider audiences.

The occasion is a result of collaboration between YARAT and Behance that was made possible due to shared dedication to supporting and encouraging young creative minds and enabling them to reach their full artistic potential.

Behance is a network of sites and services specialising in self-promotion, including consulting and online portfolios. It offers creative individuals a platform to update their work in one place and to broadcast it widely and effectively on an international scale.

Behance partners with volunteer organisations from all around the globe to present Portfolio Review Week twice each year. Since its launch in 2012, nearly 1000 events in eighty countries have taken place and have brought together some of the most inspiring creative professionals. This event gives creative people a valuable opportunity to meet new, like-minded people. So make the most of it!

YARAT Contemporary Art Space supports these kinds of initiatives and it is not the first time they are partnering with Behance.

This year Portfolio Review Day presents the works of eleven local artists - Dima Turcan, Elnur Babayev, Eltaj Zeynalov, Shamil Askerov, Hadi Misrihanova, Chalk Studio, Vugar Naib, Ayhan Khalilov and Butunay Hagverdiyev with an opportunity to discuss their current artistic endeavours. A jury comprised of artist and designer Fakhriyya Mammadova, photographer Sanan Aleskerov and artist and film-maker Teymur Daimi revealed winning portfolios.
